The Government has been implementing schemes and developmental programs for the advancement of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Denotified Communities their focus on the Educational, Social and Economic advancement of these people.

To channelise and to monitor the flow of benefits rate was formed in the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities, separate Directorate was formed in the year 1969 from the Harijan Welfare department.
